What courses depression?
This one of the question which is asked frequently. Many people have no idea what causes depression, they mostly find out that they are suffering from depression after consulting a medical practitioner. “Depression is an extremely complex disease. No one knows exactly what causes it, but it can occur for a variety of reasons. Some people experience depression during a serious medical illness. Others may have depression with life changes such as a move or the death of a loved one. Still others have a family history of depression. Those who do may experience depression and feel overwhelmed with sadness and loneliness for no known reason.”However there are number of factors which contribute towards the cause of depression such as: Abuse, Death or loss , conflict , serious illness, even personal problems such as finance, separation ( divorce )
Symptoms of depression
Mood: anxiety, apathy, general discontent, guilt, hopelessness, loss of interest, loss of interest or pleasure in activities, mood swings, or sadness
Behavioural: agitation, excessive crying, irritability, restlessness, or social isolation
Sleep: early awakening, excess sleepiness, insomnia, or restless sleep
Whole body: excessive hunger, fatigue, or loss of appetite
Cognitive: lack of concentration, slowness in activity, or thoughts of suicide
Weight: weight gain or weight loss
Also common: poor appetite or repeatedly going over thoughts
Treatment of Depression
The treatment of depression vary from person to person . some people will prefer to using Anti depressants, where as some need to undergo therapeutic sessions.
